New City, Nyack Men Arrested After Early-Morning Fight In Nyack
Orangetown police: Both men charged with disorderly conduct.
A New City man and a Nyack man involved in an early-morning fight on Park Street in downtown Nyack have been charged with disorderly conduct, according to Orangetown police.
Michael Kcira, 25, of New City, and Laquan Simpson, 21, of Nyack, were arrested after a 4:11 a.m. incident Saturday. Police said that during their investigation they discovered Simpson was also wanted on a bench warrant issued in Orangetown Town Court in Orangeburg on a charge of second-degree harassment.
Simpson was arraigned in Town Court on the warrant and later released on $125 bail pending another Town Court hearing.
The incident marks the third consecutive weekend in which Orangetown police have made arrests in connection with early-morning hours disputes in downtown Nyack. Last weekend, an Orangetown police officer was injured while making one of those arrests.

Don't put crime stories on Patch if you don't want people to voice their opinions as to what they think transpired if you read between the lines. I've lived in the Nyack area all my life, I work for a criminal defense attorney for over 20 years, and have been married for 30 years to a Rockland County law enforcment officer not to see the writing on the wall here.
