Nyack Man Accused Of DWI In Nanuet

Sheriff's Department: Car was moving erratically on Route 59.

 

A Nyack man was charged with drunken driving Saturday morning after he was stopped by police for driving erratically on Route 59 in Nanuet, according to the Rockland County Sheriff's Department.

Manuel E. Vasquez, 33, of Nyack, was stopped about 4:50 a.m. by a Sheriff's officer and found to be intoxicated. Police said Vasquez was taken to the Sheriff's Headquarters in New City and charged with driving while intoxicated, a misdemeanor, and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.

Vasquez was later released pending a Feb. 22 hearing in Clarkstown Town Court in New City.
