1.) Events: First Friday Nyack at 5 p.m. in downtown Nyack is an art festival with many shops and businesses uniting with local artists for an evening of art openings, music, poetry and some special surprise happenings. 

2.) Announcements: Restaurants across Rockland are participating in “Dine Out For Hunger Rockland 2013” throughout September. Proceeds will go to feeding programs and food pantries in the county that assist the needy.
