Sharp Electronic Corporation’s Mahwah, NJ, headquarters will celebrate its third annual ‘E-waste’ collection event on Thursday May 31st and Friday June 1st, providing the opportunity for Sharp employees and local residents to responsibly dispose of unwanted computer and electronic equipment from their home or business.
Sharp will be collecting monitors, computer processing units (CPUs), laptop computers, hard drives, modems, keyboard, and printers, DVD players, fax machines, speakers, power sources and wiring.
The collections will take place at the Sharp Electronics Corporation headquarters in Mahwah from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on both days. Residents are asked to reference the E-waste collection when they arrive at the security check-in and limit their disposal to seven items per person.
Sharp has long supported environmentally responsible waste prevention, reduction, management and recycling. Sharp co-founded the Electronic Manufacturers Recycling Management Company (MRM), a nationwide electronics recycling initiative that has resulted in the recycling of millions of pounds of e-waste.
