Marcella M. Kinsley: July 15, 1929 - June 29, 2012

 

Marcella “Marcy” Kinsley a resident of Pearl River, NY for 57 years formerly of the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx, entered into rest Friday, June 29 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. She was 82. She was predeceased by the love of her life, William Kinsley, her husband of 62 years. Mrs. Kinsley worked at the Nursing Division of Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY and for the Department of Commerce as a Census Bureau enumerator. She also served as Secretary for the Pearl River Seniors A-Club and was a member of St. Aedan’s Church choir. Mrs. Kinsley was born July 15, 1929 in Queens, NY. She was the daughter of Margaret Fenian and Aloysius Gray. Marcella is the sister of Joseph Gray (deceased), Donald Gray of Demarest NJ, Margaret Fitzgerald of Jackson NJ, and Maureen Lake of Northport NY. Mrs. Kinsley will be fondly remembered for her love of dancing, cherished memories with family and friends and as an avid fan of the New York Yankees. She is survived by her children William and Anita Kinsley of Malone, NY, Margaret Van Housen of Newburgh NY, Christine and James Thornby of Sierra Vista, AZ, Robert and Beth Kinsley of Pearl River, NY and Kenneth and Louisa Kinsley of Pearl River. Marcella had ten grandchildren, Meg and Mark Connolly, Beth and Steve Leggett, James and Crystal Thornby, Scott and Melissa Kinsley, Jennifer and Kevin Downing, Daniel Kinsley, Sarah Kinsley, Steven Kinsley, Matthew Kinsley and Diana Kinsley; fifteen great grandchildren, Kevin, Sean, Aidan, Liam, Kelsey, Spencer, Kendall, Karsen, Connor, Ella, Maia, Briggs, Jake, Dylan, and Ashton. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Terri Pietrantonio RN and Steven Ross of Good Samaritan hospital for their kind and compassionate care during her final days. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 Tuesday, July 3 at St. Aedan’s Church, Pearl River NY. Visitation will be 3-5 PM and 7-9 PM Sunday and Monday at Wyman Fisher Funeral Home Inc. Pearl River. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to United Hospice of Rockland.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
