Nanuet Athletics win 10-0 and advance in T.O.C.

The Nanuet Athletics won their first round game at the Haverstraw Tournament of Champions by defeating the East Ramapo Tigers. The final score was 10-0.  Michael Castello's strong pitching coupled with the team's good defense and solid batting advance the A's to the next round to face the Stony Point Pirates on Tuesday.  Castello and Kyle Smith participated in the Home Run Derby earlier in the day.  Many of the boys had multiple hit performances as Nanuet went through three pitchers put up by the Tigers.  Thomas Rafferty had an RBI double in the first inning.  Chris Smith had a two RBI sacrifice fly into deep right field.  Kyle Smith had a nice day with two doubles, also scoring in some runs.  William Kurisko had a 3 RBI single in the fifth inning as well. He was brought in to score with Michael Castello's home run shot over the center field wall.  Kyle Warner hit a shot to right and his speed turned it into a triple.   Excellent defense by the boys including a double play by Ryan Lardin.  Chris Bucci and the whole team displayed excellent base running with multiple steals achieved.

Nanuet, come on out to the next game to support your fellow neighbors and friends.  It is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:45p.m. at the Leo Ladders Field in Haverstraw  See you there!

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
