Nanuet Family Resource Center Fundraiser at Flip 'n Dip

Come out and celebrate the end of the school year while supporting the Nanuet Family Resource Center.

The Nanuet Family Resource Center is teaming up with a new business in town——and Rockland 21st Century Collaborative for Children & Youth. They're hosting a fundraiser from 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. on Thursday, June 21 at Flip 'n Dip located in the Kohl's Shopping Center.

"The elementary students have a half a day of school that day and coming to (their) store would be a great activity for them to do with their parents," said RoseAnn Mercado, Executive Director of the Nanuet Family Resource Center. "The money raised will go towards our programs, such as our preschool playgroups, after school enrichment, homework clubs, Parent-Child-Home program, parenting workshops, parenting discussion groups, health and wellness programs, and many more."

Flip ‘n Dip will give back 10 percent of every sale to the Family Resource Center.

"As a non profit, we rely on the generosity of many organizations to support our programs and enable us to serve the children in the Nanuet School District," said Mercado.

The Nanuet Family Resource Center is a non profit organization that works within the Nanuet School District in Rockland County. Their mission is to ensure the successful
development of every Nanuet child and to encourage parents to be partners in their child’s education by
linking community, family & school.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
