ROCKLAND COMMUNITY FOUNDATION NEW FUND ANNOUNCEMENT: THE ROCKLAND HISTORIC PRESERVATION FUND

The Rockland Community Foundation is pleased to announce the addition of the The Rockland Historic Preservation Fund to its portfolio.

The Rockland Historic Preservation Fund will help safeguard our historic legacy by providing funds for the preservation of buildings and sites throughout the county deemed to be of historic significance. Donations to the fund will offer residents and businesses a tax-deductable way to support the activities of non-profit organizations and municipalities seeking to restore, preserve and maintain historically relevant structures and spaces for future generations to explore and enjoy. It joins with other funds in our diverse portfolio that are working to make a difference in the lives of people throughout Rockland County.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
