Bardonia Girl Scouts Shop For Local Kids Charity

Girls from Bardonia Brownie Troop 40451 went shopping for People to People's Project Joy using money they fundraised during their fall sale.

Girls from Bardonia Brownie Troop 40451 took the money they raised during their fall sale and went shopping in support of People to People's Project Joy," said troop leader Alexandra Coglianese.

"The Hudson Valley Nam Knights have been collecting toy donations for this event and the girls joined in," said Coglianese. "They went to the Suffern Walmart armed with their selected children's gift lists and shopped. They even took a moment to sing with the Salvation Army to spread some holiday cheer. All in all, over 30 gifts were donated by the troop and delivered by Larry "Hippy" Aubut of the Hudson Valley Nam Knights helping to make the holidays a little brighter for some local children."

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
