Great American Cleanup Comes To Nanuet April 13th

Keep Rockland Beautiful is organizing cleanup efforts

The Great American Cleanup officially kicks off in Rockland this weekend, and the nationwide event comes to Nanuet on Saturday April 13th.

At Thursday night’s Nanuet Civic Association meeting, Irene Ryan of Keep Rockland Beautiful made a brief presentation about the upcoming event.

The cleanup runs in Nanuet from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the 13th, with the following day listed as the rain date. Supplies and bags can be picked up at the Stop & Shop in Nanuet, along with grabbers. Ryan said they’ll have a list of areas for people to go clean, but will also allow people to clean on their own streets, or somewhere else if they want.

The Nanuet event is just one of 14 Great American Cleanup events Keep Rockland Beautiful is organizing in Rockland during April. The full list of sites and dates can be found here. A registration form can be found here.
