Hundreds of people lined up at a Lowes in Nanuet on Sunday morning to wait for delivery of 250 generators. A truck carrying the coveted machines is expected at 10 a.m. Customers were given numbered tickets that will be called upon the truck's arrival to help maintain a smooth distribution process.

Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they?
No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated.
If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
