On October 10, the Rockland Community Foundation plans to honor all of the county's first responders at its annual benefit gala. The event includes cocktails, abuffet and silent auction.

Legislature Passes Day's Resolutions Against MTA Tax Impositions

The Rockland County Legislature blog this week highlighted two resolutions that call for the phasing out of the MTA payroll tax countywide by 2017. "Frankly I am fed up seeing the citizens of this County being treated like the MTA's piggybank," Legislator Ed Day said of the measures.
