Nanuet Library Trustee Petitions Available

One seat is up for election in May

One seat on the Nanuet Library Board of Trustees is up for election.  The seat is currently held by Paul Corriel, who is seeking re-election to another five-year term. He is serving as vice president of the five-member board.

Residents of the Nanuet School District are eligible to run for the library board. Petitions can be picked up at the library’s circulation desk.  Library Director Gretchen Bell said on Thursday that she was not aware of any petitions being distributed.

The petition requires a minimum of 25 signatures of Nanuet School District residents. Petitions must be submitted by Monday, April 22 at 5 p.m. The trustee election and vote on the library budget will take place on Tuesday, May 21. Contact Gretchen Bell at 623-4281 at extension 116 with any questions.
