Christine Baker and her dog Jessie are planning to walk the 2,180 miles of the Appalachian Trail over six months to help inspire those around.
"Jesse is a 4-year-old purebred retriever," Baker said. "Jesse is walking to raise awareness for five Labrador Retriever rescues. Every year, 3-4 million animals are euthanized and 1-2 million are purebreds like Jesse."
"I recently launched Walk4Good, a non-profit dedicated to inspiring and empowering people to practice kindness," said Baker. "Our organization is busy preparing for our inaugural event—I will be hiking the Appalachian Trail with Jessie, my dog, (all 2,180 miles from Maine to Georgia) in order to get people moving for Kindness."
