The Rockland Economic Development Corporation (REDC) presented outgoing County Executive C. Scott Vanderhoef with its Lifetime Achievement Award for his 20 years of service to Rockland.

REDC President & CEO Michael J. DiTullo joined with Rockland County Legislative Chairwoman Harriet Cornell for the presentation to Vanderhoef “honoring and acknowledging two decades of outstanding leadership and invaluable service as the County Executive, as well as his on-going dedication to economic development, the Rockland business community and Rockland residents.”

Hundreds of business leaders, elected officials and community representatives attended REDC’s Annual Economic Development Awards Luncheon, which was held at the IBM Executive Conference Center in Palisades on Friday.

The REDC is a 501c3 not-for-profit contract agency of the county. Financial support from the county, U.S. Department of Defense, corporate grants and private sector contributions underwrite its programs and services. REDC's mission is to promote Rockland’s economy by creating and attracting new business and retaining and expanding existing business to increase job opportunities and improve the quality of life.
