Everything's in place, minor details and touches are being made. All that's left is the ribbon cutting.

The official opening of a new Nyack business, CrossFit Momentum, is this Saturday, Jan. 12 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. and it's open to the public. Nyack Mayor Jen Laird-White will be doing the ribbon cutting at 10 a.m. The grand opening celebration includes:

  • Workout demonstrations
  • Program Information
  • Contests, raffle, BBQ!

"Come and find out what our brand of fitness is all about," said Stephanie Vaughan, one of the four owners. "Stop by our Grand Opening. Jen White will be there to cut the ribbon at 10 a.m., and overall it should be a great day."

The event is sponsored by Gypsy Donuts and Slattery Moving & Storage. Read more about the business in this Business Profile article

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
