It used to be the G&G Card and Sweetshop

Time for a new leaf. The on Middletown Road is switching ownership. The G&G owner retired and his niece, Charul, reopened it as — 38 N. Middletown Rd, Nanuet.

The switch was made in December 2011. Although some of the shelves are empty, Charul said she's far from done with setting up the new business.

"The shelves are only 50 percent full. We're still getting more items in," she said. "I took over so my uncle could retire. He retired in the first week of December. He plans to visit his grandchildren and maybe India too."

Quick Mart is open 6 a.m. - 8:30 p.m. Monday - Saturday and 6 a.m. - 4 p.m. on Sundays. However, starting Mar. 1, Sundays will be extended to 9 p.m.
