Nanuet Business's Expansion Plans Falls Through

Rockland Bakery was looking into buying its neighbor: New York Sports Club

A while ago, a Patch reader heard rumors of Rockland Bakery buying New York Sports Club next door.

Patch looked into it and found out that it was true, but the plan fell through. Rockland Bakery Owner Joe Battaglia said that New York Sports Club's lease was not up yet.

NY Sports Club is not going anywhere soon. They told Patch that they just renewed their lease for another six years.

They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
