New Nanuet Eatery Will Help Keep Rockland Beautiful

By Robin Traum

Corner Bakery Cafe is ready to “Feed the Day” in Nanuet with the opening of a new cafe on March 31. Rockland County neighbors are invited to check out the brand new location in The Shops at Nanuet located at 75 Route 59 West.

To add extra excitement on opening day, the first 100 guests through the doors at 6:30 a.m. will receive a commemorative Corner Bakery Cafe travel mug with free daily refills of hand-roasted coffee for one year. Corner Bakery Cafe will also hold a drawing throughout the month of April to award one lucky winner free grilled paninis for a year.

Corner Bakery Cafe will also celebrate their entry into the Rockland area by sponsoring an invitation-only fundraiser for Keep Rockland Beautiful during their pre-opening weekend.

“With the Nanuet and New City clean-up activities kicking off on April 5th we thought it was an ideal way to show our support and help make a difference in the community where both our customers and employees live,” stated General Manager Valeria Cosme.

An official ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 11:30 a.m. March 31 in front of the restaurant.

This location marks the first Corner Bakery Cafe in Rockland County. It is owned and operated by Amish Parikh, Ashish Parikh and David Damato of Parikh Network. Franchise partners Amish and Ashish Parikh plan to open a total of 35 cafes in the greater New York and Boston markets over the next eight years and currently own and operate 85 Popeyes franchised restaurants.

“When I first tasted the food at Corner Bakery Cafe, I was not only impressed with the quality of the ingredients, but also the customizable, made-to-order menu,” said Damato. “I’m excited to share this concept with the folks in Nanuet and the entire county of Rockland and share my passion for ingredient-inspired, freshly made food.”

Corner Bakery Cafe is a fast-casual restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and will offer outdoor seating as well as indoor dining. They will be open Monday through Saturday from 6:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. and from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. on Sundays. The made-to-order food has a price point of $0.99-$8.89 so is comfortably affordable to all.

“There is an inviting community here in Rockland County and we are thrilled to be a part of it,” said CEO Mike Hislop. “We are confident the community will enjoy our inviting atmosphere and freshly prepared food and we look forward to building long-term relationships with local guests.”
