With hundreds of people driving in and out of the Rockland Shopping Plaza, it's hard to miss the progress of the new store.
It's located at the previous location across from the Nanuet Mall (Soon to be Shops at Nanuet) and is nestled between between and . Five Below will be bringing new items at low prices specifically for teens and pre-teens.
"We're havng a soft opening (Thursday) night 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.," said General Manager Rob Bures. However, the real fun begins Friday. The grand opening weekend is this Friday - Sunday, Sept 14 - 16.
"(For all three days) We'll be giving away a free T-Shirt to everyone that buys something and there'll be a raffle and drawing for a $100 gift card," said Bures.
There will be two sign up tables outside of the store for the raffles as well as free pencils. All these giveaways are until supplies last. There will be 5 cent hot dogs all weekend, limit three per person.
"Inside we'll have interactive trivia questions for kids 18 and younger. Winners will get a prize," he added. At the end of August, 5 Below had a .
