This Weekend: Greek Festival, Renaissance Concert

Here are some events taking place this weekend around the county

With the work week nearing its end, check out this list of just a few things you can do around the county this weekend.

  • When/Where - Saturday 11 a.m. to midnight and Sunday noon-8 p.m. at the Saints Constantine & Helen Church, located at 1 Marycrest Rd, West Nyack.
  • Why Go - Enjoy the annual festival featuring Greek food, authentic music, dancing, children's rides and more.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Saturday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Barnes & Noble, located at 140 Rockland Plaza, Nanuet.
  • Why Go - Purchase books to help out the STEM Super Scholars Project sponsored by American Association of University Women-Rockland.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Sunday noon-5 p.m. at the Riverspace parking lot, located at 119 Main St, Nyack.
  • Why Go - Check out the 14th annual Volunteer Counseling Services’ Gay Pride Celebration, which will feature music, dancing, children's activities and rides, shopping, food and more.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Sunday 2 p.m. at the New City Library, located at 220 N Main St, New City.
  • Why Go - Enjoy Mitch Kahn’s performance of Academy Award-winning music.
  • Pricing - Free.

  • When/Where - Sunday 7 p.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, located at 112 N Main St, Pearl River.
  • Why Go - Listen to the High School Renaissance Camerata performing music from 1400 – 1600 A.D. using handbells, orchestral instruments, solos, duets, and SATB sacred choral music. The students will all be dressed in full Renaissance attire as well.
  • Pricing - Free.
