Today: Grand Opening For Nanuet Craft Beer Shop

After a soft opening back in October, The Growler & Gill Craft Beer Shoppe will host its official grand opening celebration on Saturday from 4 - 11 p.m.

Located on Route 59 between Toys 'r' Us and Kohl's, Nanuet's Mike and Doreen Fitzgerald are bringing something new to Rockland County and the Hudson Valley. They teamed up with co-owner Walt Mihatov to open up this unique business.

"It's like a Starbucks for beer. It's a place where people feel they’re getting top of the line product and a comfortable place to sit and enjoy that product and each other’s company," said Mike Fitzgerald. “Our mission is educating and teaching people. There are so many beers around the world but it’s hard to take it all in. Our Beer Geeks and Beer Specialists have the knowledge to really help people understand the beer selection.”

Mike Naclerio and Mark Salerno are the two Beer Geeks at Growler & Gill.

“It’s a library of different beers from around the world and these beer geeks are like librarians to help you find something that meets your taste.”
