Pets of the Week at Hi Tor Animal Care Center

Come visit us at www.hitor.org or in person at 65 Fireman's Memorial Dr in Pomona to see all our adoptable pets. Open Mon. - Sat. 11:00 to 4:30 & Sun. 11:00 to 3:00.

Missy is a 3 year old greyhound parson russel terrier mix (DNA tested) that lost her home because her owner's landlord changed his policy on pets :-(

She is a gentle, affectionate young girl who thrives on human contact. She knows her basic commands and strives to please. She is also a gentle leash walker and makes a super companion on walks. Since Missy lived with small children and even a cat at one point, she would make an ideal family pet.

Make this exceptional dog a member of YOUR pack and you will be rewarded with love, loyalty and lots of wet kisses:-) Missy bonds incredibly strongly with her family and becomes worried when she is left alone for too long. She needs an understanding owner who can work with her to become more independent and who has time to be home with her for part of the day or bring her along with them.

Skye is a beautiful 5 year old english springer spaniel staffordshire terrier mix (DNA tested). She is a fun loving girl who was surrendered to the shelter in June due to a change in the owner's living situation. Skye loves to play with our volunteers in our backyard pens running and chasing her tennis ball.

She is bright, alert and ready to engage in good times with those who appreciate her spunky nature. One of the most intriguing things about Skye is her one blue eye which makes her stand out from all the other dogs. Come meet this lovely girl today!

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
