Senator Carlucci and Students from Franklin Avenue Elementary Give Valentines to Local Veterans

Senator Carlucci has teamed up with students from the Franklin Elementary School in Pearl River to present Valentines collected from schools throughout Rockland and Westchestrer County to local Veterans. The event, which was postponed due to snow, was held in the auditorium of the Franklin Elementary School this morning. 

Elementary students sang several patriotic songs and made a special presentation on what it means for them to be an American.The entire school participated and honored 20 veterans who attended the special presentation. 

Senator Carlucci said, "Even though our Valentines for Veterans event was cancelled due to the weather on Valentines day the students of Franklin Avenue Elementary along with Principal Aliamo made sure we did not forgot to honor our veterans. The presentation today was poignant and spoke to the sacrifice our veterans make each and every day."
