Readers' Choice Winner: Costco in Nanuet

The Nanuet business won the vote in the Patch "Readers Choice" Best Place for Memorial Day Provisions contest.

What's hitting your grill Memorial Day weekend? This week, Patch asked our readers where their was go-to business to stock up for provisions.

And the winner is:  in Nanuet.

Costco is a members-only wholesale warehouse that stocks a vast selection of bulk items at low prices, including food, electronics, home goods, tools, hardware, jewelery, and much, much more.

Located in Nanuet, this Costco is one of almost 600 in the chain, includes a pharmacy, optical department, tire shop, food court, and gas station.  The gas station, unlike the rest of the store, is open to non-members, and it usually has the lowest gas prices in Nanuet.

Check back next week for a new Readers' Choice on Patch.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
