Annual Fundraising Dinner for Connor Corish Memorial Fund

The Annual Fundraiser for the Connor Corish Memorial Fund will take place on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at the Elks Club in Nanuet at 7:00pm. The event was created in 2009 to raise funds for scholarships given to area students in honor of Connor Corish who was only 15 when he was struck and killed by a train in 2008. Connor was a freshman at Don Bosco Prepatory High School in Bergen County at the time and a resident of Nanuet; therefore one scholarship is given each year to an 8th grade student from Rockland County or Bergen County seeking to enter Don Bosco and one scholarship is given to a Nanuet High School Senior who has been accepted at a college or university. To date twelve area students have been awarded scholarships.

The event on March 8th will take place at the Elks Club in Nanuet and the donation for the evening is $65 per person which includes dinner, drinks and dancing. The evening will also include a live auction with tickets to the Super Bowl for 2015, as well as weekends in New York City, dinners, Broadway show tickets, and area sports team tickets and much more generously donated by local merchants.

The evening also includes a buffet dinner and entertainment. For more information or to register, visit www.connorcorish.org . Donations can also be made on the website.
