Day of Prayer For The End Of Human Trafficking

On Thursday, January 30th, a “Day of Prayer For The End Of Human Trafficking” will take place at Albertus Magnus High School in Bardonia, New York.  An estimated 21 million people, including children as young as the age of 5 are trafficked for commercial sex or forced labor across the world today.  The Day of Prayer is being timed to precede Super Bowl XLVIII  as events such as these are lucrative markets for traffickers.

Albertus Magnus High School, a sponsored ministry of the Dominican Sisters of Sparkill, is striving to raise awareness of this issue among students, faculty, and staff as well as among Rockland area residents.

All are invited to join the Albertus Magnus community of students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends in prayer by visiting the school chapel or one's own place of worship, or in remembering these victims in private prayer.

For information on the Day of Prayer contact Sr. Nancy 845 623-8842 ext 204. For information on the Rockland Stop FEAR Coalition Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force contact the Center for Safety & Change at 845 634-3391.
