ROCKLAND JOB NETWORK

Tuesday – FEBRUARY 12, 2013 at 6:30 pm

in the SUFFERN Library

Topic:  YOU ARE WORTH A MILLION --- Do you know how much you are worth to this network and to the world of work?…you are worth millions…you keep the whole thing going just by showing up…sort of the way that you did when you were working…or the way that you do at home…your being there and here means something…and it will again at work because of who you are…the employers just don’t know you yet…so this is just a little reminder of that…showing how you are different and better than the competition may get you the job…so… continue to be one in a million and stop trying to be one of a million.  Let your uniqueness show.  Dare to be different!

 Next meetings:

  • Tuesday, February 26— Noon —  New City Library

  • Tuesday, March 12—6:30 pm — Finkelstein Memorial Library

  • Monday, March 25—6:30 pm— New City Library

The Rockland Job Network (RJN) is helping the unemployed to stay motivated, network and be focused in their job search.  We hold FREE open forum discussions for job seekers and career changers.  Topics include: best practices – networking -- career planning – resources -- motivational support.  It is a platform for information and speakers who can help, teach and encourage.  We embrace a “pay-it-forward” philosophy and are accountable to each other through our attendance at meetings and after we have landed.  If you are searching for a job, changing careers or under-employed, please join our energetic and caring group.  Hopefully you will feel restored and re-invigorated in your career planning and search.

Just a short thought to get the word out quickly about anything in your neighborhood.
Share something with your neighbors. Write a new post... What's up? Make an announcement, speak your mind, or sell something

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.

He originally attempted to text the announcement to a bunch of youths, but he mistakenly sent it toRead More senior citizens.
