Helping Students to Overcome a Legacy of Underachievement

Through the presentation of an actual case, learn how school counselors

work as change-agents for students and families to address problems of

student underachievement and lack of access to higher education.

Presented

by: Marissa Giujarro, M.S.Ed., is a professor in the School Counseling

Program at LIU Hudson at Rockland.  Professor Giujarro is a school

counselor at Suffern High School.  She is a former president of the

Westchester Putmam Rockland Cousneling Association and currenlty a state

delegate to the annual assembly of the National Association for College

Admissions Counseling.
