The Greater Nanuet Chamber of
Commerce has announced their programming schedule for the 2013 – 2014 year and
will kick it off with a “One Year Anniversary Celebration Dinner and Salute to
their Founding Members” on September 10th. The meeting will take
place at Jimmy’s on Main from 7 – 9pm and members and non-members will receive
a discount for signing up in advance on the Chamber’s website at www.nanuetchamber.com.
Three members who register in advance will be selected at random to receive a
three minute spotlight for their business at the event!

The Chamber’s goals for 2013 – 2014 Include:
to continue to work closely with the Town of Clarkstown on the rezoning of the
downtown area and beautifying and improving Main Street as the Shops at Nanuet
get ready to open in October
to host a Main Street Fair as well as a joint business networking event
the long range committee is looking into moving the train station to the new
Mall so that it is more conducive for bringing people to the area for shopping
as well
hosting cultural and health related events and activities
Chamber Announces Scholarship
The Greater Nanuet Chamber of
Commerce has also announced the creation of two scholarships to be presented to
Nanuet High School Seniors beginning with the 2014 graduating class. The
organization will post additional information to their website and will be
accepting applications beginning in February.
Those who want to join the Chamber
can sign up on line at the Chamber’s website. Membership fee for businesses is
$125 and only $25 for residents. All are welcome to attend the monthly meetings
which are posted to the Chamber’s website www.nanuetChamber.com
