Town of Clarkstown Offering Free Shredding Day

Supervisor Alex Gromack announced today the Town of Clarkstown is offering Clarkstown residents a day of free shredding services on Saturday, October 5, 2013 from 9am to 1pm (or until the shred truck is full).  The event will be held at the Town of Clarkstown Parking Lot located at 10 Maple Avenue, New City.

Residents can bring three small boxes or the equivalent of two Town recycling bins to be shredded by a shred truck in the Town Hall Parking Lot.   Proof of residency is required.

“This is a wonderful opportunity to offer residents a great and convenient way to get rid of all those piles of papers lying around,” said Supervisor Gromack.

As a further convenience to our residents, Town Clerk Justin Sweet’s office will be open during the shredding event.  All services, including marriage licensing, hunting and fishing license sales, dog licensing, free notary services, and issuance of handicapped parking tags will be available.

For more information residents can call the Supervisor’s office at 639-2050 or email a.gromack@clarkstown.org.
