JDRF Team Nanuet Walk to Cure Diabetes

There are 10 families with kids in the Nanuet schools with diabetes and with the help of RoseAnn Mercado from the Family Resource Center, They're forming Team Nanuet to walk for a cure. These students span across all grade levels.

JDRF, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, is a leader in researching to cure type 1 diabetes and it's the is the largest charitable funder and advocate of diabetes science worldwide.

Their theme is "Lasso a Cure" and they are looking for sponsors to support their walkers. Those donating to sponsor a walker can also try to get their company to match their donation. To sponsor a walker, just go to JDRF's walk website and type in "Team Nanuet" under "Donate to a Walker" in the "Team Name" field. "85 percent of every dollar goes to finding a cure," said Wendy Kroner whose daughter is one of the walkers with diabetes.
