Alysia Beckford of Spring Valley is a finalist in the 2014 Miss New York USA Pageant. She is raising money on GoFundMe to pay for her participation in the pageant scheduled for January 17th to 19th at the Performing Arts Center at SUNY Purchase. She has raised $3,127 of her $4,500 goal with just weeks to go before the competition.
Beckford writes, “I've been involved in the world of show business ever since I was a little girl, particularly in the modeling industry. Some of my biggest achievements in the industry have been modeling in large runway shows for companies such as Lord & Taylor, XSRE, appearing on the TV show FOX & Friends, and modeling in this year’s Caribbean Fashion Week 2013. Equipped with my extensive experience in modeling, I believe I am ready to finally reach for the grand title of Miss New York USA!”
If she wins in January, Beckford will represent New York State in the Miss USA 2014 Pageant.
