Hi-Tor's Pet of the Week: Asia

Each week we highlight another wonderful adoptable pet available at Hi-Tor Animal Care Center (Rockland County's only animal shelter) located in Pomona, NY.

Are you looking for a companion to brighten up your day? Asia is your girl! She is an extremely friendly 5-year-old neutered Staffy who was brought in to us as a stray. One of our volunteers recently remarked that when she walked up to Asia's kennel to take her out for a walk, Asia immediately went and brought her a toy so they could play. How sweet is that? Taking long walks, playing in the pool (Check out her video... http://youtu.be/SHpcqTBam1Q), car rides, and cuddling next to you are some of her favorite activities. Asia has a light tan brindle coat with a white chest, beautiful, soft green eyes, a pink nose, and a tail that won't stop wagging.

Asia has not lost faith in humans, in fact she loves people. However, she prefers to be the only dog in the house. Being an active dog, she would do best with an active owner and a fenced-in yard. Bring joy into both of your lives and make Asia a part of your family. Your love will be returned tenfold. To adopt, please contact Hi-Tor Animal Care Center, 65 Firemens Memorial Drive, Pomona, NY. (845) 354-7900.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
