Rockland County government offices are open on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, Dec. 31 for regular hours but some departments may close early. All offices are closed on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014.
Clarkstown Town Hall will be open for regular hours on Tuesday. It will be closed on Wednesday, New Year’s Day, and regular hours will resume on Thursday. Garbage pickups will not take place on Wednesday. They will resume on the next regularly scheduled day, which is Saturday.
The Nanuet Library will be open on Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and closed Wednesday. It will reopen at it regular time of 10 a.m. on Thursday. The New City Library will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and closed Wednesday. It will reopen at 9 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2 .

The Shops At Nanuet will be open on Tuesday, New Year’s Eve, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.
The Palisades Center in West Nyack will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Tuesday. On New Year’s Day, Wednesday, the mall will be from 10 a.m. until 9:30 p.m.
