Obituary: James M. Morrison II, 56

Nanuet resident James M. Morrison II died on Tuesday, July 9 at Nyack Hospital at the age of 56. 

Morrison was born on Jan. 20 in Brooklyn to James and Catherine Morrison. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. from 1976 to 1980, attaining the rank of corporal, and worked for York-Jersey Fire Sprinklers in Clifton, NJ as a pipefitter for 25 years.

He was an avid Yankee and Giant fan. He is survived by his wife Irene; siblings Claire Tarantino, Kathleen Veralli and Daniel Morrison; his nephews Christopher and Michael and is predeceased by his brother Patrick.

Visiting is on Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Wyman-Fisher Funeral Home in Pearl River. The mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday at St. Margaret R.C. Church, also in Pearl River.
