Former Nanuet resident Virginia Elizabeth Labriola died peacefully surrounded by loved ones after a brief illness on Aug. 2.
Labriola, who lived in Delmar and was born on Oct. 23, 1915, was 97-year-old.Labriola willfully lived in her own home on her own terms with the people and things she loved until her passing. She was known for her extraordinary sense of humor, her loving generosity and courageous spirit and will be greatly missed.
Her children Daniel and Donald, daughter-in-law Linda, son-in-law Raymond Keough and 8-year-old grandson David survive her.

The internment will be held at St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery in Nanuet at 1 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 9
Contributions in Labriola’s memory can be made to the St. Pius X Catholic Grade School in Loudsonville, NY.
