Nanuet Boy Scout Troop 33 Now Has 3 Families of 3 Eagles

On April 29, Ryan Flynn was honored at his Eagle Court of Honor ceremony. His Eagle project was building two horseshoe pits and benches for the Pearl River Elks Club, the Troop's charter organization. Ryan is the 3rd son in the Flynn family to earn the rank of Eagle. Also honored at the ceremony were the Olson and Kurek families who have 3 Eagle scouts in each family: Mark Olson (1981), Matthew Olson (1981), Christopher Olson (1983), Michael Kurek (2001), Nick Kurek (2002), Jason Kurek (2005), Michael Flynn (2007), Sean Flynn (2011), Ryan Flynn (2013). Mary Flynn received her Girl Scout Gold Award in 2013.

Troop 33 is unique in having 3 families of 3 Eagles and should be recognized for its dedication to the scouts and their families. Troop 33 has been in existence since 1923 and now has 70 Eagle scouts.
