ST. THOMAS AQUINAS COLLEGE NAMES LAUREN BARBARA NEW ADMISSIONS COUNSELOR

(November 13, 2013- SPARKILL, NY)--St. Thomas Aquinas Collegerecently appointed Lauren Barbara to the position of Admissions Counselor, announced Dr. Bart Grachan, Director of Admissions.

Barbara (Ramsey, NJ) earned aBachelor of Arts degree from Ramapo College (NJ) and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Montclair State University (NJ). In her new role, Barbara will be responsible for recruiting undergraduate students, reviewing applications from her territory, and working with accepted students and their families on the admissions and financial aid processes. She will also assist in the coordination of various campus events hosted by the Admissions Team.“Lauren has assumed a strong supporting role for prospective STAC students in her new post as Admissions Counselor,” Grachan said. “She will represent the College throughout various parts of New Jersey and assist in driving initiatives to enroll students. We’re happy to have Lauren as a key member of our Admissions Team,” Grachan added.

Prior to STAC, Barbara served as a program assistant in the office of Equity and Diversity as well as an Equal Opportunity Fund counseling intern at Montclair State University. In these roles she created, promoted and executed programs for student engagement on issues of diversity and gender, collaborated with staff on budgeting for annual programming, and established and analyzed academic plans for incoming freshman students.
