3 to Serve Time for Drug, Forgery, Burglary Convictions: Rockland DA

Attempted Burglary: Joshua Rios-Colon, age 23, was sentenced July 2 by the Honorable Charles Apotheker, County Court Judge, to nine months in the Rockland County Jail after pleading guilty to Attempted Burglary in the Third Degree. 

District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said Rios-Colon was in the Blima Ruchel School on Route 306 in Ramapo unlawfully on March 25 with the intent to steal. 

Drug Charge: Frank Lorincz, 49, of North Bergen, NJ was sentenced by Apotheker on July 16, to one year in the Rockland County Jail after pleading guilty to Criminal Possession of Controlled Substance in the 5th degree. 

Zugibe said that on Jan. 23, 2009, Lorincz was found with about 3.3 grams of cocaine at Orange Turnpike in Sloatsburg.

Forged Money Orders: Argelys Diaz, 32, of the  Bronx, was sentenced by Apotheker July 16 to one to three years in State Prison after pleading guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument in the 2nd Degree. 

Zugibe said that Diaz possessed and cashed 16 forged money orders—with a total dollar value of $7,376.18—between January and March 2013 in Spring Valley.
