Clarkstown Man Charged With Smashing Another Man In The Head With Glass

A late-night argument led to the arrest of a Clarkstown man on assault charges after he smashed a glass into the head of another man, according to .

Luis Lema, 37, of 33 Second Ave., in Nanuet, was arrested after a 12:10 a.m. incident Sunday. Police said Lema and another man were involved in a dispute at 33 Second Ave. and the incident became violent.

Police said the victim, 27, suffered a severe laceration on the head from being struck by a glass and was taken to Nyack Hospital for treatment.

Lema was arraigned in Clarkstown Town Court on charges of first-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon with intent to use. He was released pending a hearing on Wednesday.
