Clarkstown PBA Says Goodbye to Retiring Sergeant

Sgt. Harry Baumann will retire at the end of next week

After their meeting Thursday at the New City American Legion Post, the Clarkstown Policemen’s Benevolent Association honored Clarkstown Police Sgt. Harry Baumann, who is retiring next week after 40 years with the department.

Baumann has 43 years of law enforcement service, also working with the NYPD prior to coming to Clarkstown. Town Supervisor Alex Gromack presented Baumann with a proclamation with some highlights from Baumann’s career. Baumann also received a plaque from the Clarkstown Police Honor Guard, of which he was a founding member in 1983.

Mike it's possible that he came off midnights and lost his shift differential

Your first sentence was welcome enough. But as usual, you went on too long.

You are the last person I would look to if I wanted a definition of Classy.

Madeline, I have nothing against Sgt Bauman who appears to be a fine fellow. As a taxpayer I pay part of Sgt Bauman's salary. I just wanted to know how his income was reduced, that's all. If we could find out how that happened it's possible that we could reduce the incomes of the other officers who I Also have nothing against. Just trying to save some money for all of us.
