DA: Bookkeeper Embezzled from Rockland Company Funds

A bookkeeper for a Rockland County business is accused of embezzling money from her employer.

Erica Sanford, a Monroe resident, was indicted by a County Grand Jury on May 23, for the crime of Grand Larceny in the 2nd Degree.

District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said between May 31, 2010 and September 30, 2012, while employed as the Office Manager and Bookkeeper for Tri-State Carpet Connections in Tappan, NY, Sandord stole approximately $50,000 from her employer.

The defendant, now 36, transferred money to various personal credit cards and bank accounts.
