DWI Charge for Pearl River Driver Who Backed into Parked Car in Nanuet

A Pearl River resident was arrested in Nanuet July 11 for aggravated driving while intoxicated (misdemeanor).

Clarkstown police said he was operating a 2013 Acura in the parking lot of Stiletto’s, 180 East Rt 59 Nanuet, when he backed into another vehicle which was parked. 

He was unsteady on his feet and had the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath.

He was administered field sobriety tests which he failed.  

He was placed under arrest and transported to Clarkstown Police Headquarters where he submitted to a breathalyzer test in which he also failed.  He was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated for having a blood alcohol concentration higher than .18 (misdemeanor) and driving while intoxicated per se. He is due in Clarkstown Justice Court on July 31.
