Former Cleats 'N Sneaks Employee Indicted For Grand Larceny

A Rockland County grand jury indicted Karl Davenport, 25, of Hillcrest on Wednesday on charges of Grand Larceny and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property. Davenport, a former employee of Cleats ‘n Sneaks in Nanuet had been arrested by Clarkstown police in mid October.

District Attorney Thomas P. Zugibe said between March 13th and October 15th Davenport was allegedly stealing merchandise from the store and selling it on eBay. Zugibe said a search warrant executed at Davenport’s apartment turned up approximately $3,000 worth of stolen merchandise from Cleats ‘n Sneaks.

Edwin Vasquez, 47, of Orangeburg was indicted on Monday on charges of Robbery and Assault in connection with an incident at the Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg on September 7th. Vasquez is accused of entering the victim’s room while he was asleep and taking money. When the victim woke up Vasquez allegedly punched him numerous times and then beat him with a metal object. The unidentified victim was treated for various injuries at a local hospital.

A grand jury indicted Musa Walters, 36, of West Nyack on Monday on a charge of Robbery. Zugibe said on May 1st Musa allegedly took merchandise into a Lord and Taylor fitting room and then left the store with the items in a bag. When a loss prevention officer stopped him outside the store, Musa is accused of pushing and throwing the officer to the ground. He was arrested by Clarkstown police officers.

Robert McMullen, 47, of Stony Point was indicted on Wednesday on charges of Criminal Contempt, Criminal Obstruction of Breathing or Blood Circulation and two counts of  Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Zugibe stated on October 31, at approximately 2:30 a.m., McMullen allegedly entered a residence in violation of a full stay away order of protection. McMullen is accused of arguing with victim and choking the victim in front of two minors.
