UPDATE: False Fire Alarm Evacuates Nanuet HS to Barr

The Nanuet Fire Department was called to a fire alarm that went off in the school's kitchen

Students at Nanuet High School were evacuated Tuesday morning because of a fire alarm that went off, according to Cheryl Tully,  Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent. The Nanuet Fire Department said that it was a false alarm.

"It was something in the kitchen. It wasn't scheduled," said Tully. "We were (evacuated) for only 10 minutes."  They were moved to the nearby middle school because of the cold weather.
