Cops: Nanuet Couple Accused of Pointing Gun at Taxi Driver in Fare Dispute

Three rifles, a shotgun found in search of home; pair charged with menacing.

Mario Grasso, 33, and Jacqui Marcos, 27, of Nanuet, were arrested Tuesday after a firearm was displayed during an argument with a taxi driver over the fare, according to Clarkstown police.

The driver told police that after picking up the couple on Fremont Avenue, he drove them to get a fast food order and then back to their house, where the dispute began over the cab fare. According to police, the driver said Grasso began yelling and banging on a cab window, then Marcos reportedly left and came back with either a shotgun or rifle, which she handed to Grasso, who then pumped it and pointed it at the unidentified driver.

The cab driver, who was not injured, left and called police at about 5:25 p.m.

Sgt. Jo Anne Fratianni said police set up a perimeter around the Nanuet home and spoke to Grasso and Marcos, who left the building without incident. Three rifles and one shotgun turned up during a search of the residence.

Police charged the pair with second-degree menacing and they are scheduled to appear in Clarkstown Town Court in New City on March 6.

This has nothing to do with a landlord!! A landlord dies not search a tenants private property. People are responsible for there own actions. They pulled a gun, not the person who is there landlord.
