Nanuet Honors Veterans at Memorial Day Service (VIDEO)

The Naurashank Post 794 of the American Legion and the Nanuet Fire Department held a service at the Veterans Memorial by the train station on Monday.

Refreshments and a bbq picnic followed at the fire house next door.

Involved organizations included the Pearl River Elks, Nanuet Lions, Jewish American Veterans, VFW NY Post 3773, Vietnam Veterans of AmericaChapter 333, Rockland County Veterans Coordinating Council and the Polish American Creativity Society for Children.

Jackie Ferro was the soloist and Victoria Garsia led everyone in the pledge. Speakers included Veterans Jeremy Honey, John Dulisse and Deacon John Maloney said the benediction.
