UPDATE: Police Contact Nanuet Residents In Search For Robbery Suspect

Clarkstown Police say the suspect is most likely not in the Nanuet area anymore

Late Tuesday night, June 26, several Nanuet residents received an automated phone call from Clarkstown Police informing them about a robbery. Police say that the call went out after midnight.

Clarkstown Police said that the robbery was at the Pit Stop Deli at 81 S. Central Ave in Spring Valley. The robbery was done by two men and one was arrested. They sent out those phone calls for help searching for the other suspect who took off on foot after the vehicle was stopped around 11 p.m. on Fairview avenue in Nanuet.

However, police say that the suspect is most likely not in the Nanuet area anymore. The investigation led by Spring Valley and Orangetown police with assistance from Clarkstown and the Rockland Intel Unit.

They need to communicate correctly. The message and NY Alert website said the robbery, not the suspect, was on Fairview Ave.

Kim , you need to get your facts straight before reporting erroneous information. The incident took place Tuesday p.m. The reverse 911 call came in early a.m. Wednesday not Thursday. They abandoned their car ON Fairview not near it! And the suspects were ARMED! I know ! It happened next door to me! I live on Fairview Ave.

So I guess you guys are implying that the news sources around here are far from accurate. I've been living in Nanuet for over 30 years, and they (Journal News, etc.) always screw things up.

Thanks John, I'll get this corrected

An issues conference will be a wast of time and money. So many ' issues ' have been pulled out ofRead More thin air. The people who organized against the plant will just keep saying the same thing. No amount of info will be enough, no answer will be accepted. The issues conference will be a circus of endless questions, ideas, and demands. Haverstraw bay reclassified as drinking water will better protect it, provide an endless supply of water and finally help end the stereotype of the Hudson being polluted Recommend

UW is by far the cheapest utility we have delivering clean water to my family for over 35 years. IRead More can live without cable which costs $160 a month but not without water at about $50 a month. Thank you Mr. Pointing.

Mr. Pointing, I appreciate your clearing this matter up. Too often the Water Company s cast as theRead More Villian by the Press and it is best to nip it in the bud with true facts.

I see your point isnt so much about what they are spending it on, but the process that they followedRead More to get to this point, but are they getting generators for the street lights on main street or the traffic signals? Seems like a project that is way out of control, who has gone to these community centers during storms anyway. All I have ever read about was people charging cell phones at the community centers. Good Job Pat.
