Carlucci Hosts First Ever Rockland Senior Fair

More than 75 vendors were in attendance

State Sen. David Carlucci hosted the first Rockland County Senior Fair Thursday at Rockland Community College. Carlucci said the event has been in the works for a few months, as he formed a he meets with to discuss issues facing Rockland’s senior community and possible solutions to them.

Based on those meetings, Carlucci said he wanted to host an event, which he hopes will be done annually, to let seniors know of different options they have in the community. The 75-plus vendors at the event on Thursday ranged from companies that can help seniors with health issues to various recreation options open to seniors in the community.

This is just ridiculous. There are two aspects to our water. Supply and demand. United WaterRead More control our supply and have been instructed by the NY Public Service Commission to increase our supply. Our politicians control our demand. They could enact legislation to restrict demand tomorrow: Introduce water saving measures, restrict growth and introduce incentives and policies to conserve, but do they? No, of course not, they would rather showboat and slam UW, who are doing what the State has mandated. If our local politicians are serious on this issue, propose real legislation and water conservation measure, not just baseless rebuke of UW.
